Hercules Power Up 3: How This Device Can Light Up Your Room, Charge Your Phone, and Run USB Products

Using a portable battery, it took my iPhone 13 Pro Max four hours to charge to 100%. Connected to a wall outlet, it took less than an hour to get it almost to a full charge. And when I used the Hercules Tuff it took just two hours to get from 18% to 95%. That's pretty good considering this station is often sharing its power with other devices. Sure, the charging station didn't beat out the standard charging outlet in my home, but what it does accomplish still makes this station better than the outlet overall.

Unlike a conventional 110v outlet, this charging station is compatible with USB-A 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and even 2.0 ports, so it can charge several devices easily. And a surprising bonus is that this charging station doubles as an outlet for products that need to be plugged into a USB. Yes, you can even use this charger as a lone power source for USB-based products. On a whim, I plugged in my budget UBeesize LED video lights and it worked to light up my room in a pinch.

Hercules Power Up 3

The nRST pin input contains a glitch filter to prevent noise from causing a system reset. It can filter out the pulses less than 475ns (2.1MHz). We still recommend to protect the nRSTsignal from noise particularly in applications that involve power switching can couple intothe reset line. The reset PCB trace should be routed away from noisy signals. Do not run thereset trace close to the edge of the board or parallel to other traces with fast transients.

This is the power-on reset. This reset must be asserted by an external circuitry whenever any powersupply is outside the specified recommended range. This signal has a glitch filter on it. It alsohas an internal pulldown.

During the device is powered up, the nPORRST must be hold down for at least 1ms after VCC reachesto VCCPORH. When the device is powered down, the nPORRST must be hold down for at least 1msafter VCCIO and VCCP reaches to VCCIOPORL.

VCCAD and VSSAD are not truly analog power and grounds. They contain digital noise generatedduring conversion. VSSAD is also connected to VSS through p-substrate inside the IC, the highfrequency VSS current in the digital and core area can also flow through this VSSAD pin to theboard ground. A minimum 100nF decoupling capacitor should be placed between VCCAD and VSSAD.This decoupling capacitor should be placed close the pins.

Optimal ADC accuracy is achieved with a low-impedance source (RS ) and a large input filter capacitor (CS ).As the signal source impedance increases and capacitance decreases, noise on the conversion resultincreases. Noise sources include coupling from other signals, power supplies, external devices, andfrom the microcontroller itself.

The USB module on those devices supports the following configurations:1 USB Host Port + 1 USB Device Port, OR2 USB Host PortsInterface signals for the USB host port #2 are multiplexed with interface signals for the USB deviceport. If the application requires the use of the USB device port, then the USB host port #2 mustfirst be powered down. For pin multiplex, and signals mapping between MCU and the transceiver, please refer to the Technical Reference Manual (TRM).

All the power supply pins must be connected for proper operation. All Hercules devices have multiple supplypins for the core, I/O, and ADC supplies. All such pins must be connected to the proper supplyvoltage for proper operation. Do not leave any of the supply pins unconnected. The voltage level for I/Opins and flash pump is 3.3 V; whereas, the core supply voltage is either 1.2. For more information, see the Electrical Specifications section of the device-specific data sheets.

It is recommended that no voltage larger than a diode drop (0.7 V) should be applied to anyinput pin prior to powering up the device. Voltages applied to pins of an unpowered device canbias internal p-n junctions in unintended ways and produce unpredictable results.

The Hercules devices need to follow the power-down sequencing. During power-down, the nPORRSTshould be asserted low at least 1ms before the VCCIO supply reaches 1.14 V. This helps to keepon-chip flash logic in reset prior to the VCCIO/VCC power supplies ramping down.

Hercules devices are fabricated using advanced CMOS technology. The CMOS circuits draw largecurrents at every transition, producing current spikes on the supply rails. These rising andfalling glitches have to be filtered before they traverse into the sensitive circuit area. The bypass ordecoupling capacitors placed across power supply pins and ground are used for such filtering.

Hercules devices have several power supply pins. You need to use one capacitor on each powersupply pin and should place this capacitor as close to the pin as possible, without using anyvia. Typically small (100nF), low-ESR ceramic capacitors are used for this purpose.

The C-130J is the latest addition to the C-130 fleet and has replaced aging C-130Es and some of the high time C-130Hs. The C-130J incorporates state-of-the-art technology, which reduces manpower requirements, lowers operating and support costs, and provides life-cycle cost savings over earlier C-130 models. Compared to older C-130s, the J model climbs faster and higher, flies farther at a higher cruise speed, and takes off and lands in a shorter distance. The C-130J-30 is a stretch version, adding 15 feet to the fuselage, increasing usable space in the cargo compartment.

C-130J/J-30 major system improvements include advanced two-pilot flight station with fully integrated digital avionics, color multifunctional liquid crystal and head-up displays and state-of-the-art navigation that includes a dual inertial navigation system and GPS. The aircraft also features fully integrated defensive systems, low-power color radar, digital moving map display, new turboprop engines with six-bladed all-composite propellers and a digital auto pilot. The C-130J/J-30 also includes improved fuel, environmental and ice-protection and an enhanced cargo-handling system.

Introduced in August of 1962, the 389 C-130Es that were ordered using the same Allison T56-A-7 engine, but added two 1,290 gallon external fuel tanks and an increased maximum takeoff weight capability. June 1974 introduced the first of 308 C-130Hs with the more powerful Allison T56-A-15 turboprop engine. Nearly identical to the C-130E externally, the new engine brought major performance improvements to the aircraft.

Hercules guest-stars in an extended Thor storyline, defeating a depowered Thunder God (punished by Odin for loving the mortal woman Jane Foster).[13][14] Hercules unwittingly becomes the slave of fellow Olympian god Pluto when he signs a contract which he thinks is for a film, but actually states that he will now rule the Netherworld instead of Pluto. Hercules is eventually rescued by Thor (now at full strength) who battles and defeats Pluto's underworld minions. Pluto opts to void the contract rather than accept the destruction of his realm.[15] While under the contract, Hercules has a chance encounter with the Hulk, fighting the monster to a standstill.[16]

Hercules becomes a founding member of the superhero team the Champions, aiding the mortal heroes against the machinations of Olympians Pluto and Hippolyta.[28] The character appears during the Korvac saga, and after being kidnapped by the Elder of the Universe the Collector is freed (with the other Avengers) by comrade Hawkeye to battle the cosmic entity Korvac who has absorbed power from Galactus's ship, giving him god-like power, and traveled from the 31st century to remake the Universe. Although killed in battle, Hercules and many of the Avengers are resurrected by the entity before dying.[29] Hercules also appears in a humorous story with Fantastic Four member the Thing.[30]

During the "Avengers Under Siege" storyline, Baron Helmut Zemo assembles an army of supervillains to form the fourth version of the Masters of Evil. Courtesy of a paid pawn, Hercules is drugged at a bar in order to incapacitate him. Hercules, however, manages to return to Avengers Mansion and singlehandedly engages the Masters of Evil, being eventually beaten unconscious by Goliath, Mister Hyde, and the Wrecking Crew. Although the Masters of Evil are defeated, Hercules remains in a coma as a result of his injuries.[40] The next storyline, titled, "Assault On Olympus" deals with the consequences of Hercules's injuries, as he is taken from the hospital by fellow Olympian Hermes and returned to Olympus. The Avengers eventually pursue - also aided by sometime member Namor the Sub-Mariner who is kidnapped by Greek god Neptune - and discover they are being blamed by Zeus for Hercules's condition, as Hercules mentioned them in his coma. As the Avengers battle several of the gods and Zeus himself, the Titan Prometheus restores Hercules to full health using part of his life force, Doctor Druid uses his powers to restore Hercules's sanity, and Zeus accidentally attacks Hercules, after which he stops the fight. He hears from his son that the Avengers are not at fault. After that Zeus decides to ban the Olympians from Earth.[41]

The other gods continue to feud with Hercules, with Ares - possessing the body of Eric Masterson who currently wields a missing Thor's power - launching an unsuccessful attack.[51][52] When Hercules falls in love with a mortal woman called Taylor Madison, the goddess Hera intervenes and attempts to kill her, although this is prevented when Ares warns Zeus. Hercules discovers that Madison was actually a construct created by Zeus to lure out Hera, and attacks his father. Zeus is angered by "his son's lack of respect", and strips Hercules of his immortality and half his strength, forbidding him from ever returning to Olympus.[53] 2ff7e9595c
